YCS of Kulshekar organizes dance competition

Mangalore, Dec 4, 2011: The Young Christian Students’ Movement (YCS), Kulshekar unit, organized a dance competition as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Kulshekar Church on Dec 3 in the church hall. 


The contest was organized in 7 categories and provided great entertainment to the audience. Over 160 people participated.

The panel of judges comprised advocate Santhsh D’Souza, Mrs. Marula Gibson, and Ms. Felita Consesso of Jeppu parish. 


The dignitaries on the dais were Rev. Fr. Valerian Pinto, the parish priest; Fr. John Baptist Moras and Fr. Melwyn Noronha, the assistant parish priest; Praveen Patrao, the vice president of the parish council; George D’Souza, the secretary; Sushil Noronha, the jubilee coordinator; Melwyn Fernandes, the YCS animator; and YCS office bearers. 


Rev. Fr. Valerian congratulated all the participants. The winners were honored by the guests. In the inter-ward group dance category, Blessed Mary Ward won the first prizes, while the St. Rita Ward and Good Shepherd Ward won the second and third prizes, respectively.
