World Special Children’s Day programme held at Nitte

Mangaluru, December 7, 2024: Nitte A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Science Mangalore and Nitte Special Needs Children’s Care Center in collaboration with Comprehensive Education Karnataka Mangalore D.K. District organized World Special Needs Children’s Day 2024 at Nitte Invasion Hall in Deralekatte on Friday.

Karnataka State Legislative Assembly Speaker UT Khader inaugurated the program by lighting a lamp.

After speaking he said that the parents of children with special needs are role models for all, it is the duty of the parents to work hard to bring their children to the mainstream of the society, only those who have the heart of humanity can take care of them, this program of Nitte Institute is commendable, it is a contribution to the society.

Presiding over the program, MS Moodithaya said that we are not celebrating special children’s day, we are celebrating the talent of special children, our Nitte organization is working hard to brighten the life of special children, and said that more efforts should be made.

Mangaluru South Constituent Education Officer H.R Eshwar, Integrated Education Karnataka Dr. Sumangala S. Nayak, Nitte Special Children’s Chair Person Dr. Amarashree A. Shetty, Professor Wabitha Shetty, Professor Mitra N Hegde Kishori etc. were present.

Tributes were paid to Nitte Dean Professor Dr. US Krishna Naik who passed away recently.

On the same occasion, needful wheel chair and bed were distributed to the specially-abled children.

Nitte Special Chetana Children’s Chair Person Dr. Amarashree A. Shetty spoke in introduction and welcomed, Dr. Meghana Bhandari presented the program and thanked.
