
Mangalore, Feb 20, 2012 : Speaking at the 9th zonal committee meeting of the All India Peerless Employees Union in the Corporation Bank Employees Union Golden Jubilee Hall on Feb 19 Sunday, B. Madhava, the state vice president of Centre of Indian Trade Union (CITU), said that the working classes want to defeat the government’s neo liberal policies.




Further, he said that trade unions all over India, forgetting their political affiliations, have united against government policies. Trade unions will state a national-level demonstration on Feb 28.
Speaking on the adverse effects of globalization on the masses, he said that protests against globalization are taking place in several nations across the globe and that 1 percent of the world’s MNCs, corporates, and capitalists are controlling the world’s wealth, leaving 99 percent deprived of basic necessities.
Gautham Chatterjee, CVA Kumar, and Kamal Bhattacharya, the general secretaries of the All India Peerless Employees Unions, and Vasanth Acharya, the general secretary of the district CTU, were also present.
