She was speaking after inaugurating the DYFI Women’s Convention held at AKG Bhavan in Mangalore on September 15, Sunday. Anupama further referring to the rising cases of atrocities on women in the nation regretted the fact that reservation and equality for women have remained mere a slogan.
Today women are subject to constant exploitation and the problem is the same in rural and urban areas, she said and added only an enlightened women folk can ensure justice for themselves.
Prameela K, Convenor of Women’s sub-committee, presided over the function. Muneer Katipalla, DYFI District President, BK Imtiyaz, city unit President, Santosh Bajal, Secretary, Sowmya and others were present.
