Woman found raped, murdered in a deserted place at Bajpe

Mangalore, October 5:  The body of a woman, who is suspected to have been raped and murdered, was found in a deserted place near Oddur Farm Shed at Bajpe on Monday, October 5.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The deceased has been identified as Sarojini Naik(25), a resident of Thenka Edapadav, Bajpe.

Bajpe police investigating the case said that the body of a 25-year-old woman, who went missing from home in Odduru near Bajpe on Sunday morning, was found in a badly mutilated condition at a farmhouse on Monday.

Police have recovered the body of Sarojini from a deserted pumpshed, in semi-nude condition after they received information from a local Shivappa Naik who visited the spot on Monday, September 4 at 11 am.The culprits have smashed her head with a laterite stone, they said.  Police commissioner, Seemant Kumar Singh, deputy commissioners of police, Ramesh and Mutturaya, visited the spot after the incident.

A case has been registered in Bajpe police station in this connection and police are searching for the culprits.
