Woman dies after eating rat poison laced papaya

Udupi, Oct 26, 2020:    A woman   died after  unknowingly  eating a papaya which was  laced with rat poison at Hiriadka.

 

The deceased  has been identified as Srimathi (43) of Devaragunda in Kudi village.  It is said the papaya laced with rat poison was kept in the house on October 19 due to the increasing menace of rodents. However Srimathi who was unaware of this, had consumed it. She was rushed to the hospital after she complained of stomach pain. However she breathed her last later.
