Mangaluru, Feb 15, 2026: In another alleged case of matrimonial fraud, a woman from Bajpe has accused her husband of cheating and emotionally exploiting several young women from Mangaluru by befriending them through social media while staying abroad.

The complainant, Preeti (name changed), has lodged a complaint at the Mangaluru Women Police Station against her husband Manish, alleging harassment, cheating and deception.

Woman Accuses Husband of Cheating Multiple Women

According to the complaint, Preeti came into contact with Manish through Facebook, and their online interaction gradually developed into a relationship. She has alleged that Manish later blackmailed her and coerced her into marriage.

Preeti claimed that three days before the wedding, Manish allegedly staged a suicide attempt citing financial difficulties, following which her parents bore the entire wedding expenses. She further alleged that her family arranged ₹2 lakh to help him secure employment abroad.

After relocating to Dubai, Manish allegedly began a relationship with another woman based in Bahrain, raising Preeti’s suspicions. On probing further, she claimed to have discovered that even prior to their marriage, Manish had allegedly been involved with multiple women.

The complaint states that some of these women informed Preeti that Manish had taken money from them on various pretexts. When asked to return the amount, he allegedly claimed to be suffering from serious ailments such as a brain tumour or heart disease before cutting off contact without repaying the money.

Preeti also alleged that Manish used platforms such as TikTok and other social media channels to approach and lure women.

Stating that she no longer wishes to continue the marriage, Preeti has urged authorities to take strict action, saying no other woman should fall prey to similar deception.

Police have registered the complaint and launched an investigation into the matter.
