Will support if ’Swabhimana’ jatha is apolitical : Biruver Kudla

Mangaluru, Jan 25, 2022: Biruver Kudla has clarified that it would support tomorrow’s Swabhimana Jatha planned by various organisations to protest the denial of permission for the Brahmashree Narayana Guru tableau of Kerala government during the Republic Day parade, only if the event is apolitical.

 

Speaking to reporters here on January 25, Tuesday, Biruver Kudla leader Lakshmish said it look as if there was a political ploy as many who failed to support the cause of naming a circle in the city after Narayana Guru, are now part of this jatha.

He said some parties were resorting to confusion in the minds of the people on the issue, solely  with poltiical intentions.

Pointing out that there was a set of guidelines for tableaux to be part of the R-Day parade, he said  a minister  has stated that  Kerala had ignored the guidelines sent by the Centre. The issue would be resolved if it comes to light as to which guidelines have been violated, Biruver Kudla has opined.

Several leaders of the organisation were present.
