Will continue to work for the party, says Mithun

Mangaluru, Apr 26, 2018 : It has been a happy ending as far as the District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai episode is concerned. Mithun who was an aspirant for a ticket from Moodbidri constituency and was upset after he was denied a ticket, has  cleared the air by stating that he would continue working for the Congress.

While admitting that he felt hurt when denied a ticket, he also made it clear that  the party has never betrayed him. He said  he had met Congress President  Rahul Gandhi who has asked him to work towards the strengthening of Youth Congress.

"I never  felt that I have lost anything because of denial of ticket, he said  and added that  he was happy to see  Youth Congress members give him a rousing welcome when he arrived from Delhi.

He said it has been decided to reject the resignations given by all youth Congress members in protest against denial of ticket to him. Everyone would work unitedly for the victory of the Congress in all eight constituencies, he stated.

Harish Kumar, District Congress President was also  present.
