Wellness Helpline’s appeal for permission for plasma collection in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Aug 13, 2020: Wellness Helpline of Mangalore has urged Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath  to initiate measures to secure  permission for Plasma collection  in Mangaluru in the wake of rise in Covid-19 cases in the region.

 

Khasim Ahmed, Convenor of Wellness Helpline, Ziyavuddin Ahmed and Aboobakker  met the MLA on Thursday and submitted a memorandum to him in this regard.

They drew the attention of the MLA towards the fact that many who had recovered from Covid-19 were willing to donate plasma. They also  pointed out how two youth had to recently travel to Bengaluru to donate plasma needed  by a patient.

MLA Vedavyas Kamath has given an assurance   to look into the demand.
