Weekend curfew in Dakshina Kannada; cops maintain strict vigil

Mangaluru, Aug 07, 2021: Following a spike in Covid-19 cases in the district, the state government has enforced weekend curfew  in Dakshina Kannada. In this backdrop police are on a strict vigil and are restricting all unnecessary vehicular movement.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Most shops and business establishments have remained closed and roads are wearing a deserted look. However, essential shops as well as roadside vendors selling essentials are permitted to carry out their business from 5 am till 2 pm.

Though a few private buses were seen on the road early morning, they are likely to suspend trips  owing to lack of passengers.
