Washroom video case handed over to CID probe by state government

Udupi, Aug 08, 2023: The investigation into the washroom video case reported from a private paramedical college in Udupi has been handed over to CID by the state government.

 

It may be recalled here that the so called incident wherein three Muslim girl students filmed a Hindu girl while she used the washroom, by placing mobile cameras, had stirred a controversy in the state and had also resulted in political slugfest.

The police had registered a suo moto case in this regard. The court had granted anticipatory bail to the three accused students and has also recorded the statement of the victim who however has refused to lodge a complaint.
