Voter awareness programme held at St Agnes College

Mangalore, April 17, 2013: A voter awareness programme under ‘SVEEP’(Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation) was held at St Agnes College, Bendur  on April 17.

Speaking at the function, Manish Kharbikar, Mangalore Police Commissioner, said the government  was making all possible to ensure maximum possible voter participation in the elections.  It is the ardent duty of each and every citizen to exercise his franchise and be  a part of the decision making process.

 

Dr  VIjayaprakash, President of SVEEP and Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat said students  too must actively take part in the voting process. He further  urged the student community to inform the authorities of any unethical practices during election.

 Principal St Agnes College, Dr Sr Prem D’Souza  also spoke on the occasion. Students and participants of the programme were administered oath by Sr Viola.
