
Mangalore, Nov 4, 2013 : A Ratha Yatra organised as part of Swami Vivekananda’s 150th birth anniversary celebrations will be arriving in Mangalore on November 5, Tuesday. The Ratha Yathra which has already completed touring several districts, entered Dakshina Kannada district last Friday.

Informing this, Swami Jitakamananda , Honorary President of Swami Vivekananda Ratha Yatra Reception Committee, said the Yatra will be flagged off in Mangalore at 8.30 am following which there will be a student rally. In Mangalore, the Ratha Yatra will pass through Ramakrishna Mutt, Mangaladevi, PVS Circle, Jyothi Circle, Kankanady and Marnamikatte. A formal programme will be held at Ramakrishna Mutt premises.
At 4.30 pm, a public procession will be flagged off at Nehru Maidan . The procession will culminate at Ramakrishna Mutt, Pandeshwar where another programme will be held.
JR Lobo, MLA of Mangalore South, who also spoke, said the Yatra which will leave Mangalore the next day will head towards Thokkottu, Vittal, Konaje, Kalladka, Puttur and Sullia.
