Vittla: Two-wheeler rider killed in collision with pickup near Mithur

Vittla, May 19, 2026: A two-wheeler rider was killed in a tragic road accident involving a Mahindra pickup vehicle and an Activa scooter at Kuvetthila near Mithur.

The deceased has been identified as Salim (52), a resident of Kabaka, who was engaged in sofa and vehicle cushion works.

According to reports, the accident occurred while Salim was returning after inspecting vehicle-related work at the Darul Islam Educational Institution in Mithur. A speeding Mahindra pickup vehicle coming from the Kabaka side towards Mithur allegedly rammed into Salim’s Activa scooter with great force.

After hitting the scooter, the driver of the Mahindra pickup reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road onto a mound-like roadside area and overturned.
