Vittla: Two houses gutted in fire

Vittla, December 20, 2025: Two rented houses belonging to the family of late Kalmar Ismail, located in Kanyana Kalaginapete, were gutted in a fire.

Members of the public immediately doused the flames, preventing major damage. As no one was present in the houses at the time, a major tragedy was averted. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Fire and emergency services personnel later arrived at the spot and completely extinguished the fire.
