Vittla: KSRTC bus–tipper collision sparks driver clash; cases filed

Vittla, Mar 25, 2026: A KSRTC bus and a tipper lorry were involved in an accident near the Muliya Dambe Anganwadi centre on the Kudpudavu–Peruvai road, leading to a heated argument and a physical altercation between the drivers. Cases and counter-cases have been registered.

The KSRTC bus, which was travelling from Pakalakunja to Vittla, collided head-on with a tipper lorry heading towards Peruvai. The accident reportedly occurred on a slope and at a curve, where both vehicles attempted to move forward simultaneously.

Following the accident, an argument broke out between the bus driver and the tipper driver, which later escalated into a physical fight involving the tipper driver, the bus driver, and the bus conductor.

Members from both sides were admitted to the hospital and filed complaints against each other. A case has been registered at the Vittla police station.
