Vittal: Bihar man absconding in 2015 rape case arrested

Vittal, July 14, 2025: The Vittal police in Bantwal have arrested a Bihar native who had been absconding for several years in connection with a rape case.

The accused, identified as Babloo Kumar, a resident of Patna in Bihar, was involved in a rape incident that took place on the night of October 4, 2015, at a house under the jurisdiction of the Vittal police station. A case had been registered at the time.

After securing bail from the court, Babloo Kumar failed to appear for subsequent court hearings and went into hiding.

Now, the Vittal police, with the assistance of the local police, have apprehended him from Behta in Patna district, Bihar. He has been produced before the court and has been remanded to judicial custody.
