Vitla: School bus crashes into electricity pole, students escape unhurt

Vitla, Aug 11, 2026: A school bus carrying students lost control and crashed into an electricity pole near Kuntukudelu in Purlappady, Padnur village, Vitla, on Monday.

The bus was transporting students from a private school in Vittal when it reportedly developed a mechanical problem while descending a slope at Kuntukudelu. The bus went straight down the road and rammed into an electricity pole on the roadside.

The impact completely snapped the electricity pole. More than 15 students were reportedly travelling in the bus at the time of the incident. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and all the students escaped unharmed.
