Vitla: Illegal cattle transport racket busted, 30 cattle rescued; bid to run over police during chase

Vitla, May 21, 2026: Vitla police have uncovered an alleged illegal cattle transportation and cattle smuggling racket following a tip-off from Bajrang Dal’s Kalladka unit.

According to sources, police intercepted a Swift car allegedly being used to transport cattle illegally. When officers signalled the vehicle to stop, the accused allegedly attempted to flee and tried to run over police personnel with the car.

In a follow-up operation, police raided a house where more than 30 cattle were reportedly being kept illegally. The cattle were rescued during the raid.

Police have launched an investigation and are verifying the source and destination of the cattle. Further action is underway.
