Vishakapatnam, Kolkata emerge champions in all India major ports TT, Lawn Tennis tourneys

Mangalore, Feb 16, 2013: Vishakapatnam Port Trust has emerged the overall champions in the Lawn Tennis Tournament, while Kolkata Port Trust bagged the championship in the Table Tennis tournament conducted at the NMPT officers Club premises and Recreation Club premises from February 12 to 14 recently.

 

The events were conducted as part of the 36th All India Major Ports Table Tennis & 34th Lawn Tennis Tournaments organized by NMPT under the banner of Major Ports Sports Control Board.

Teams from 8 major ports including Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai,   Kandla, Vizag, JNPT, Paradip   and NMPT participated in the tournaments.

N Prakash, Deputy Commissioner distributed prizes to the winners. Dr. P.Tamilvanan, Chairman,  NMPT  presided  over the function.T.S.N. Murthy, Deputy Chairman, NMPT  and  President of New Mangalore Port Sports Council was the chief guest.
