Vijaya Mallya presents golden doors worth Rs. 80 lakh to Subramanya Temple

Subramanya, Aug 23, 2012 : Vijay Mallya, Chairman, United Breweries Group  offered two gold-plated doors to Subrahmanya Temple at 4:00 p.m. today.

 

Mallya, who had visited the temple this April, had vowed to offer two gold-plated doors. Accordingly, he presented the two doors made of 2.5kg gold, worth Rs. 80 lakh.

 

The doors have been created by a group of artists in Mala, Karkala under the guidance of master artist Sudhakar Dongre. The group took 2 months to complete the two doors, which are now rare works of art.

The doors will be placed at the entrance of the temple’s sanctum sanctorum.
