Vigilance squad traps village officer while accepting bribe

Kasargod, Oct 25, 2013 : A Vigilance Squad  has arrested the  village officer of Adoor  while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 1000 for preparing the sketch of a land.

The arrested officer is Anil Kumar. It is learnt, the officer had demanded a bribe of Rs 1000 from one Farooq Tangal of Adoor  who  had applied for the preparation of a sketch of his land.

He had then lodged a complaint with the Kasargod Vigilance Squad following which a team of officials led by DySP K Damodaran raided the village office and trapped the officer.

The accused has been produced before the court.
