Valuables worth Rs. 2.7 lakh stolen from temple

Mangalore, July 31: The Yeyyadi-based Shri Rama Bhajana Mandira near Kadri was burgled during the early hours of Sunday. The thieves escaped with hundi cash and valuables.

According to the Kadri Police, the thieves broke into the temple through its main door and stole valuables worth Rs. 2.74 lakh. Jayaram, a member of the temple’s management committee, visited the temple at 8:00 a.m. and discovered the theft. The temple had been closed at 8:00 p.m.

The Kadri Police have registered a case.
