Valli Vogga bags 11th Konkani Kutam Award

Mangalore, July 25, 2012: Konkani Kutam, based in Bahrain, will confer its 11th Konkani Kutam Award on Vally Vogga of Mysore at St. Sebastian Platinum Jubilee Hall in Bendore on July 28, Saturday, at 6:30 p.m. 

Addressing a press conference held on July 25, Wednesday, Konkani Kutam Convener Richard Moras said that Konkani Kutam Bahrain is a forum that promotes Konkani language, culture, and literature. Since the forum supports Konkani artists and writers, it has introduced Konkani Kutam Award 2012.

                           

Konkani Kutam is conferring this award on Valli Vogga because of his contributions to Konkani language and literature. The award comprises a memento, a citation, and a cash prize of Rs. 50,000. 

Titus Noronha, co-ordinator of the award presentation committee, Willaim Pais, and Melwyn Rodrigues were also present.
