VHP demands apology from Moily for remarks about PM’s anushtan prior to Ram Mandir consecration

Mangaluru, Jan 29, 2024: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has demanded an apology from MP and former chief minister Veerappa Moily for ridiculing the 11 day Anushtan done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi prior to the Prana Pratishta of Lord Ram Lalla at Ayodhya Ram Mandir. If Moily does not apologize he must be immediately arrested, said VHP Regional President M B Puranik.

Speaking to reporters here, Puranik said Moily has tried to speak lowly about the PM by stating that he had entered the sanctum sanctorum without fasting. He said someone who had authored Sri Ramayana Darshanam must not have said so. This is an insult to all Indians, he said and dubbed the statement of Moily as against constitution as he had offended the Prime Minister’s caste.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Sharan Pumpwell who referred to the Mandya incident, said permission must be allowed to hoist Hanuma Dhwaja lest Hanuma Dhwaja campaign would be held at every street.
