Uprooted tree blocks traffic on Shiradi Ghat road

Mangalore, Sep 12, 2012 : A tree uprooted on the Shiradhi Ghat road at night leading to severe traffic block on September 11, Tuesday.

Those who had taken a bus to Bangalore were stranded all night because buses from Mangalore to Bangalore could not proceed.

Although the buses left Mangalore on the night of Tuesday and ought to have reached Bangalore on the morning of Wednesday, they still have a long way to go before reaching Bangalore.

Most of the passengers were those getting back to work after celebrating religious festivals at home. They had to wait all night for the traffic to clear and will miss a day’s work.
