Uppinangady: Woman found dead in apparent suicide

Uppinangady, Sep 3, 2026: A 47-year-old woman was found dead in an apparent suicide at Kudtapalike in 34 Nekkilady village near Uppinangady on September 2.

The deceased has been identified as Lakshmi K., 47. She was found hanging from the window bars of her bedroom using the dupatta of a churidar.

In a complaint filed with the Uppinangady police, the woman’s daughter Prakruthi stated that her mother had taken the extreme step after becoming distressed over personal reasons.
