Uppinangady: Three held for cattle theft and unauthorized slaughter

Uppinangady, Sep 6, 2025: Police have arrested three men in connection with a case where cattle were stolen from a farmer’s house at Kadambu near Uppinangady and slaughtered on the spot.

The arrested have been identified as Irshad (34) of Chembugudde, Ullal; Mohammed Mansoor (48) of Kudroli, Mangaluru; and Abdul Azeem (18) of Kannur, Mangaluru.


Cattle theft


Police revealed that the same accused were earlier booked in another case on August 14 under Bantwal Rural Police Station limits, where cattle were stolen near Tumbe and slaughtered in the vicinity. During investigation, it was found that the trio were also responsible for the Kadambu cattle theft and illegal slaughter incident.

The accused are currently under police interrogation, and further investigation is underway.
