Uppinangady: Three arrested for illegal cattle transport

Uppinangady, July 8, 2025: Police have uncovered an illegal cattle transportation case at Piligoodu in Barya village and arrested three individuals in connection with the incident.

The arrested have been identified as Abubakkar alias Shameer, Imran, and Akram. The trio was allegedly transporting cattle in a cruel manner in a pickup vehicle. Sub-inspector Gurunath B Hadimani of the Uppinangady police investigation wing seized the pickup vehicle along with the cattle, valued at ₹22,000, and registered a case.
