Uppinangady: Bike rider dies in car collision near Nekkilady

Uppinangady, Mar 09, 2026: A 56-year-old man died after a car collided with his motorcycle at Bollaar in 34th Nekkilady near the town on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Chidananda Gowda (56), a senior clerk at the Padmunja Cooperative Society and a resident of Kuraya in Bandaru village.

According to reports, Chidananda Gowda was traveling on his bike for work when a car hit him at Bollaar. He sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru. However, he did not respond to treatment and later died.

A case has been registered at the Puttur Traffic Police Station.
