Union Minister Birender Singh unveils 25th anniversary plaque of Vikas Education Trust

Mangaluru, Jan 09, 2018:  Union Minister for Steel  Birendar Singh   has  unveiled a plaque  on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Vikas Education Trust in Mangaluru on January 8, Monday.

Prof. Serge Haroche, Nobel Prize winner in Physics, 2012 visited Vikas P U College on January 08, 2018. The French Scientist visited the college on a special invitation from Krishna J Palemar, former minister and the chairman of Vikas education Trust. It was also an occasion commemorating the 25th year of the Vikas Education Trust.

Addressing the students and faculties, Prof. Serge Haroche spoke on important inventions and discoveries of scientists along with inspiration from theories of Niels Bohr and Albert Einstein. He urged the students to take science seriously and learn to go forward with inquisitiveness.  He said the world is fast changing and the scientific inventions have impacted the world.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the achievements of Vikas Education Trust since the past 25 years speak in volumes regarding the quality education offered by the institution where students from across the nation study.

Vikas Education Trust Chairman  Krishna J Palemar, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Advisor Dr Ananth Prabhu G, Correspondent Dr D Shripathi Rao, Principal Prof. Rajaram Rao T,  Administrative Officer of the College Vidya Kamath and others were present.
