Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visits Kollur Mookambika Temple, offers prayers

Kollur, Apr 28, 2026: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited the renowned Kollur Mookambika Temple on Tuesday and offered special prayers to Goddess Mookambika.

During her visit, the minister participated in temple rituals and sought blessings at the sanctum sanctorum. Temple authorities welcomed her and briefed her about the history and significance of the famous shrine.

Devotees and local officials were present during the visit, and security arrangements were tightened in and around the temple premises in view of the VVIP visit.

Nirmala Sitharaman’s visit drew the attention of devotees and visitors at the temple, one of the most prominent pilgrimage centres in Karnataka.
