Unidentified man dies after bus accident on Mangaluru NH 66; Police seek identity

Mangaluru, Oct 27, 2026: An unidentified man died after being seriously injured in a bus accident on National Highway 66 at Jappinamogaru in Mangaluru on October 22.

The man, believed to be between 30 and 35 years old, was walking along the unpaved roadside from Mahakali Padpu towards Jappinamogaru when a bus hit him, leaving him seriously injured.

He was shifted to Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru for treatment but succumbed to his injuries on October 23. His body has been kept in the hospital’s mortuary.

Mangaluru South Traffic Police have appealed to the public to help establish the deceased man’s identity and trace his family or legal heirs.
