Under trials caught with drugs in police escort vehicle !

 Sullia, June 26, 2013 :  Drugs and cash were seized  from  under trials who were being escorted to the Madikeri  jail after  producing them before a court in Mangalore on June 24, Monday.

Six persons namely Avinash, Nitish, Sushanth, Chandrahas Shetty, Pradeep Mendon  and Vijaykumar were arrested around five months ago at Sampaje Kallagundi when they were found smuggling drugs concealed between vegetables in their car. They were then lodged in Madikeri jail.

On June 24 they were produced before the Mangalore court and were being taken back to Madikeri jail when the Sullia cops, following a tip off intercepted the vehicle at Paichar.

To the surprise of everyone they found 12 grams of ganja with one of the under trials Avinash, while others had cash amounting to Rs 36,000 with them.  One more case of drug trafficking has been slapped against Avinash who was found in possession of ganja.
