Under trial trapped while smuggling ganja into prison

Mangalore, Sep 20, 2013 : An under trial lodged in the Mangalore prison has been trapped while trying to smuggle ganja inside the prison.

 

 

  It is said the prisoner named Seetaram Shetty who had been out of the prison to dispose a bag containing waste, returned to the prison with another bag even when he was escorted by guard Guruprasadappa.

It was only when Jail Superintendent Doddakamaiah checked Seetaram Shetty’s belongings that he found 600 grams of ganja and some psychotropic drugs.

Barke police have booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985.
