Ullal limping back to normalcy

Mangalore, Feb 9, 2014 : Ullal which had witnessed acts of vandalism and incidents of violence in the  past three days, is slowly returning to normalcy. On February 8, Saturday,  shops and business establishments were open as usual.

Even buses which were off the roads, plied as usual on Saturday. People who had preferred to remain indoors during the past two days, were seen out on the road.

Meanwhile, Section 144 continues as a precautionary measure. No fresh case of violence has been reported from anywhere in the area since February 7, Friday night.

A condolence meeting in honour of the Ullal Qazi who passed away recently, which was scheduled to be held on Saturday, has been put off, say sources.
