
Ullal, May 19, 2026: The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Mangaluru Assembly Constituency Committee staged a massive protest near the Thokkottu flyover condemning the alleged NEET examination question paper leak and demanding action against those responsible.
Speaking at the protest, Block Congress President Ramesh Shetty Boliyar said that the leak had caused injustice to students who had worked hard and appeared for the examination sincerely. He urged the Central Government to take strict action against those involved in the leak and ensure justice for affected students.
He further alleged that despite the serious nature of the incident, the Central Government had remained silent and should take moral responsibility and resign.
NSUI District President Suhan Alva claimed that question paper leaks had become frequent in NEET examinations and alleged that nearly 40 such incidents had occurred since the BJP government came to power. He said several students had been driven to distress due to such incidents and demanded the resignation of Union ministers concerned.
Assembly constituency General Secretary UT Fareed also addressed the gathering and called for justice for students affected by the question paper leak.
Congress leaders Dinesh Kumpala, Monu Malar, Amita, and Alwin D’Souza also spoke during the protest.
