Ullal: Govt school PE teacher found dead in well

Mangaluru, Dec 21, 2025: The body of a government school physical education teacher was found in a well at his residence in Kondana near Kotekar on Saturday, with police suspecting suicide.

The deceased has been identified as Prabhakar Jogi (51), a physical education teacher at a government school in Kallaracody under Naringana gram panchayat. His body was found in a well located within the house premises.

According to police, Jogi had been suffering from neurological issues and was reportedly depressed. Family members, who began searching for him, later found his body in the well.

A case has been registered at the Ullal police station based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s son, and further investigation is under way.
