Ullal: Fishing boat sinks at sea, five fishermen rescued

Mangaluru, Sep 3, 2026: A fishing boat sank after being caught in strong waves near the Ullal Alvekodi area on Tuesday evening. Five fishermen who had ventured into the sea for fishing were on board the boat, reportedly owned by Sharief.

The boat had travelled some distance from the shore when it was caught in the waves and sank. The five fishermen stranded on the boat were rescued by fishermen aboard another boat nearby.

Sharief of Alekala, Ullal, has lodged a complaint with the Ullal police, stating that the boat sank completely, resulting in substantial financial loss.
