Udupi: ’Janapada Vaidya Siri’ 2013 Award for Vasappa Badigera

Udupi, april 5, 2013 : Octogenarian  Ayurveda practitioner Vasudeva Badigera has been chosen for the Janapada Vaidya Siri Award 2013.

The Award is instituted by the Janapada Vaidyakeeya Samshodhana Kendra and  Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda. The award carries a citation and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000. The award presentation will be on April 9 during the Annual Day  function of the SDM College of Ayurveda.

Eighty two year old Vasappa Badigera who hails from Rane Bennoor in Haveri District has been an Ayurveda  practitioner for over six decades and has successful treated patients suffering from diabetes,paralysis and several serious health disorders. He had learnt the Rasadowshadha Chikitsa Vidhana  from his father.
