Udupi included in list of districts to ’unlock’ from today

Udupi, Jun 21, 2021:  The state government has issued a fresh order on Monday including  Udupi district and five other districts in the list of districts that will be unlocked with effect from Monday.

 

Though the government had earlier announced unlock in 16 districts with less than 5% positivity rate, beginning from June 21, Udupi was left out as the positivity rate was above 5%.

However following rising demand for unlock  by the Udupi MLA , MP and the general public, the state government has included the district in the unlock list. Accordingly, all shops will be allowed to function in the district from  6 am to 5 pm.
