Udupi: Woman complains against husband who gave her Triple Talaq

Udupi, Mar 05, 2022: A woman has lodged a complaint against her husband and in-laws at the women’s police station here after her husband all of a sudden gave her triple talaq and married another woman.

 

The aggrieved woman Shehnaz was married to Mohammad Yousuf  of Thenka Ermal in 2006 and  has a son. It is learnt, Yousuf used to often pressurize Shehanaz to bring money from her parents or else leave his house. The complaint stated that the husband even used to assault her following which she had begun staying at her maternal home.

It is learnt Yousuf divorced Shehanaz to marry a woman from Krishnapura. Shehanaz who has alleged that her husband has cheated her, has complained against him and a few others who helped him  in his second marriage.
