Udupi : Weekend curfew from 7 pm today

Udupi, Jun 25, 2021: Weekend curfew  will be implemented in Udupi district from  7 pm on June 25 to  5 am on June 28, Monday. All other activities except essential and emergency services will be permitted during the curfew, Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha has said.

 

Shops selling groceries, fruits, vegetables, fish,  milk booth and animal fodder selling shops can function from 6 am to 2 pm. Even street vendors can function upto 2 pm. However  sale of chats, panipuri is not allowed. Fair price shops can function during the stipulated time. Liquor shops can have parcel service and the same rule is applicable to restaurants. Home delivery services can function round the clock.

People  who are scheduled to travel can go to bus stands, railway stations and   already scheduled marriages can take place at the respective homes with a maximum participation of 40 people.
