Udupi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visits Sri Krishna Mutt, inaugurates new temple kitchen

Udupi, Jun 13, 2026: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited the Sri Krishna Mutt here this morning and offered prayers to Lord Krishna. She received phala mantrakshate from the seer of the Paryaya Shirur Mutt, Sri Vedavardhana Tirtha Sripada.

Later, she inaugurated the newly constructed kitchen (Paaya Da Kone) at the Krishna Mutt, which has been built for preparing offerings (naivedya) to the deity.

Among those present on the occasion were Shirur Mutt Diwan Uday Kumar Saralattaya, Parupatyegar Sreesh Bhat Kadekaru, Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna, Kaup MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty, and Madhukar Mudradi.
