Udupi : Unidentified assailant barges into house, hacks man to death

Udupi, Nov 24, 2017: An unidentified assailant has hacked a  person to death after barging into his house at Vasukinagar in Bailur of 76 Badagabettu ward of Udupi CMC limits on Thursday.The deceased has been  identified as Vasanth Kumar (45). He was residing at the house along with his elder sister Uma   since the past several years.

At around 10.45 am on Thursday, locals  who heard Vasanth’s screams rushed to his house only to find him  in a waste pit  in the rear portion   of the house  in a pool of blood. A bent knife was also found at the spot. He was immediately rushed to the  Ajjarkad Government Hospital. However he succumbed in the evening.

 Udupi Police are investigating the case.
