
Udupi, Apr 3, 2026: In a bid to maintain law and order, the Udupi District Police have externed two individuals allegedly involved in anti-social activities. The order was issued on Thursday (April 2) by the Superintendent of Police, who is also the Special Executive Magistrate.
The individuals have been identified as Vijetha from Udyavara village under Kapu Police Station limits and Arif Saheb from Mudrangadi under Padubidri Police Station limits.
Vijetha, a resident of Pithrody in Udyavara, has four cases registered against him, including charges of attempt to murder and assault. He has been externed to Karwar in Uttara Kannada district.
Arif Saheb, a resident of Mudrangadi, is facing five cases, including attempt to murder, assault, and drug consumption. A rowdy sheet has also been opened against him. He has been externed to Koppa in Chikkamagaluru district.
Police said the action was taken to prevent any disturbance to public peace. Both individuals have been barred from entering Udupi district for the specified period.
