Udupi: Two boys missing from government observation home

Udupi, July 14, 2025: Two boys have reportedly gone missing from the Government Boys Observation Home in Udupi since Sunday afternoon.

The missing juveniles have been identified as Dileep (14), a student of Jnana Mandira Government School in Bengaluru, and Dhanaraj (13), a resident of Rajeshwari Nagar Garden in Kumaraswamy Layout, Bengaluru.

Both boys were admitted to the observation home through the reception center on July 7, 2025. According to officials, the duo escaped through the corridor door around 1:40 PM on July 13, 2025.

Following the incident, caretaker Pramod from the Government Boys Observation Home filed a complaint, and a case has been registered at the Udupi Women’s Police Station.
