Udupi: Two arrested in inter-district motorcycle theft case

Udupi, Jan 16, 2026: Police have arrested two persons in connection with an inter-district motorcycle theft case.

A complaint was registered at the Manipal Police Station regarding the theft of a two-wheeler that was parked near Coin Circle on October 30. Following an investigation, the police arrested the accused, identified as Kiran B N (32) and Yogesh Naik N (22), both residents of Shivamogga.

Police also revealed that Kiran B N has previous cases registered against him at the Manipal Police Station.

The accused were traced and apprehended under the guidance of Udupi Deputy Superintendent of Police Prabhu D T and the supervision of Manipal Police Station Inspector Mahesh Prasad. Police Sub-Inspectors Anil B M and Akshaya Kumari S N, along with staff members Vishwajith, Chethan, Ajmal, Raviraj, and Manjunath, were part of the team involved in the operation.
