Udupi: Two arrested for alleged rape and cheating of minor girl

Udupi, May 28, 2026: The Udupi Women’s Police have arrested two suspects under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act in connection with the rape of a minor girl.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Jithendra and Sushan, both residents of Tekkatte.

The Allegation: According to the complaint, the duo allegedly lured the 17-year-old girl to a lodge and raped her. Furthermore, they allegedly cheated the victim out of a total of 71 grams of gold jewelry.

A case has been officially registered regarding the incident at the Udupi Women’s Police Station, and investigations are ongoing.
